Sealcoating work,
paid by the job.

We book the driveways and hand you the work already sold, measured and scheduled. You seal it and get paid on the job rather than on an hourly clock, most of the year rather than for five months of it.

Why Atlanta, if you already do this work

The honest pitch, and it is mostly one thing.

The season does not shut

This is the whole argument. A sealcoating crew in Ohio is idle from November to April and has to make a year out of five months. Georgia does not do that. Sealer needs to hold above fifty degrees through its cure and Atlanta meets that on most days of most months, so winter here is a forecast question rather than a layoff.

The day starts early in summer

June through August the storms build in the afternoon and the asphalt gets hot enough to skin a coat before it is worked. So summer jobs start at first light and finish by early afternoon. If you want to start at ten, this is the wrong market.

Shade is half the work

A lot of north metro drives sit under canopy and carry algae or moss. That is a treatment and a wait before anything is sealed, and it is priced as its own line rather than swallowed. It is more work per job, and it is paid as more work.

Routes are tight up north

Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Marietta and Dunwoody sit close together with a lot of asphalt driveways between them. Jobs cluster rather than scattering you across a county.

What the work is

Residential driveways and commercial lots across the north metro: Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Marietta, Smyrna, Dunwoody, Kennesaw, Peachtree Corners, Duluth and Decatur.

You sell and install, we do the rest

Quote requests come in from our advertising. You go out, measure on the ground rather than off a satellite, sell at our pricing and install it. Advertising, admin, invoicing and materials are ours. No door knocking, no setting your own prices, and nobody to chase for money.

You run your own day

You decide how you do it and when you start. We agree the date with the customer around the forecast and tell you the finished result we need. How you get there is yours, as long as it is down before the afternoon builds.

Job by job, take it or leave it

Every job is offered and any of them can be turned down, for any reason, with no effect on what comes next. Nothing here is exclusive and nobody is asking you to close your own book. Keep your customers, work for whoever you like, take ours when they suit the week.

Paid on the job

Per driveway, at a rate agreed with you before you take anything, so you are never finding out what a job paid after you have done it. Send the week's finished jobs on Friday and they settle the following Friday. No timesheets and no thirty day terms.

What it pays

You tell us your rate.

Per square foot or per driveway, whichever way you price. We agree it before the job starts and it does not move afterwards. Payment goes out once the before and after photos are in and the customer is happy. No timesheets, no waiting thirty days on an invoice. Crack filling is quoted and paid separately. We would rather hear your number than name one at you: if you already run your own outfit, you know what the work is worth.

Straight about the volume: Atlanta is brand new for us. There is no book of work here yet and the jobs come from our own advertising, so how many there are depends entirely on how fast that builds. Anyone telling you otherwise about a market they opened last month is guessing.

If you need guaranteed hours every week, this is not it. If you already run your own outfit through a Georgia winter and want jobs handed over with no marketing spend attached, it fits, and the year-round part is worth more here than the rate on any single driveway.

What you need

Your own tools

Squeegees, brushes, a blower, edging tools and your own safety gear. A pressure washer and something to treat algae matter more here than a sprayer does, because a good share of these drives sit under trees and arrive green.

Your own transport

Something you can get buckets and gear to a job in, and that will get down a steep drive to a basement garage without drama. Plenty of north metro driveways are not flat.

Insurance

We recommend carrying general liability insurance, and taking your own advice on Georgia workers' compensation. You are running your own business here, and that cover is what stands between you and a bad afternoon on somebody's driveway.

You have done this before

You know what a driveway needs before sealer goes on it, and you know when one should not be sealed at all. Specifically for here: you know what happens if you put a coat down on hot asphalt at two in the afternoon, and you know what a rutted commercial lane means. We are not set up to teach the trade from scratch.
